The use of DLC coatings is advantageous in many industries:

During Metalworking:

• DLC coatings are applied to a cutting tool. The best effect is achieved while processing copper, aluminum, titanium alloys, plastics. Due to a low friction coefficient, a cutting tool doesn’t get stuck in a metal; a high hardness of a coating defends a working surface that extends utilization time of a tool up to several dozens of times.
• The laying of a DLC-sputtering on casting and die-molds substantially increases their life span.

In Machine Building Industry:

• DLC coatings have shown their effectiveness in protecting critical parts of machines and mechanisms which work under the conditions of high dragging and runout.
• Moreover it’s possible to apply DLC-coatings to movable, rotating parts and groups, bearing parts.
